It reads like we have both swam in the same pond...Just a tiny puddle of water that has been shared by many...in the warm...sunny days of summer...This pond was soothing to our bodies...Then the winter came much to soon...and we forgot to leave our safe warmth...and soon we were left to freeze in that once warmth...that embraced us in the absents of our loss love.
YES...IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU IN MY ARMS LAST NIGHT...IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU THAT I HELD SO TIGHT...IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU THAT I TOOK HOME...IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU THAT MY LOVE WAS SHOWN...IT SHOULD BEEN YOU THE ONE I NEEDED SO...IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN YOU...THAT I NEVER LET GO...BUT NOW THAT I SEE ALL OF THE WRONG THAT I'VE DONE...BUT IN THE ARMS OF ANOTHER...YOU WERE THE ONE...I COULD NOT BE WITH MY ONE TRUE LOVE...SO I SETTLED FOR LESS...I KNOW THIS WAS DUMB...BUT I CAN'T CHANGE ALL OF THE WRONG THAT I'VE DONE...BUT IN MY HEART...YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE ONLY ONE.
PLEASE LET ME PROVE TO YOU...ALL THAT I FEEL...FOR YOU ARE THE ONE THAT I LOVE STILL...
